The wolves hated the citizens of the big apple. Their bustling streets and infectious cars polluted the whole area, easily killing off a memorable amount of the animal population. So they created a substance with their crafty minds. This substance would grow in the humans lungs and give them a simple and common, but extremely feared disease. Lung cancer. Soon, the city would have to be quarantined. And it was. Within two years, the entire city was evacuated, leaving the wolves as the dominant animal. They lived happily for about five years, then they realized a pattern. The animals weren't immune to the mass murderer that they had created. Hundreds were killed because of the deadly foe that drifted through the air.
Symptoms of the disease are rather strange. Most citizens would expect the spores to give you a cough, but they seem to take a much larger toll on the body. First, the disease heads for the mind. The victim begins to have hallucinations which start to become more and more common as they go about their daily rituals of life. But even more so, they simply go insane. Some may rampage violently and others may be that quiet crazy that seems to lurk in them until they've had enough. Well, this. This is the last straw for the wolf population of the big apple. Many a relative, friend, and neighbor have recently passed because of this putrid and sickening substance that they had created. A myth has been going around that rather than destruction on December 12th, 2012, a cure will be found. The humans will return after learning their lesson and the wolves will live peacefully like they did before this gunk hit the streets. For now, all they can do is wait.

This is where the lovely staff members come up with all the ideas that go into the site and all it's members. We feed off of new ideas and thrive on your suggestions. But, if you aren't a staff member, you will have to share your ideas in the c-box or in a new thread, because you are not worthy enough.
After you have read the rules, you can begin the creation of your character. Though it is allowed, character collections of over four wolves aren't preferred. We only say this because most people that have an endless supply of characters end up having only one or two that are active.
If you're one of those role-players that insists on having an endless amount of characters, this board will be a great burden-lifter for you. It not only helps you to remember how many characters you have, but it also helps with the organization of said characters.
If you have just realized that you have too many characters and you need to give one up, but you love it so much that you can't delete it, give it away! If you post your character's bio in this board, it will have a better chance at finding a new home than it would in the garbage with the other not-so-lucky animals.
If you want your character to have any sort of relation with another character, whether it be good or bad, you can request it here. If the history of your wolf requires a mini plot, you can post it here. In time, another member of the site will be interested and your mini plot can commence.
Ferris is full of distant wolves that seem to only tend to their own needs. They slowly migrate to places that aren't over-populated. They don't wish to be the center of attention and they are quite content with being the quiet outcasts. Rumors and myths bounce around the city and its outskirts about the ferris colony, but only because they are quiet. Since they only talk to certain others, the unlucky few that don't hear a word have to make up their own story about them.
The thrash wolves have always been depicted as outgoing citizens of the outskirts of New York City. They believe that life should be pain free and they'll do anything to make it that way. They enjoy being the center of attention and making others love them. They tend to either be conceited or lie about who they really are. Putting up hypothetical walls to hide their secrets is one of their worst habits. This particular colony also has the highest death toll from the disease that has rapidly spread through NYC, practically proving that it and all its members are the least immune to the substance and its circumstances.
Most of the bestial wolves originate from the Central Park Zoo, domestication flowing through their veins. But, since the quarantine, they have broken out of the zoo and their benevolent ways. They've gotten so much joy from being wild and barbarous, that it's how they are and always will be. Other wolves don't enjoy being around them, because they are usually complete assholes. But still, they can't help but grow on you and make you love them.
The Sunday school was a hassle for all the little boys and girls that lived outside of NYC. The outskirts were much more different than the inner city, as you might have guessed. Uniforms were the main problem that the children had to live with, their spirits still high in the hopes of one day being as attractive as the models in photos behind the wall of glass that was the hallmark store. Some of the wolves there can still hear the children laughing and playing, their lively spirits dancing through the sound.
For something in the distance that no one really cares about, let alone thinks about, the outskirts are always filled with wolves, roaming around. From loners to pack members, everyone seems to get along here. The grass is always a bright green when it isn't covered by snow. And when snow blankets it, the dark sky reflects on the snow and then back up into the universe. There's a constant conversation between the two.
The marsh, along with the other neutral lands of NYC and its outskirts, is full of loners and imagination thriving pack members that love to get out of their daily rituals to merely take a walk in this calming retreat.
Main street was the most populated part of the downtown area when the humans were here, and it still is, even when they're gone. Loners love to roam here and look at the strange and modern architecture that screams culture. Without all the bustling cars that used to crowd the streets, main street has become a calming release to the wolf population of NYC.

Since there are so many ways to earn shillings on the site, you can quickly come up with the earnings to buy any power and/or species your little heart desires. Also, if you can't stand writing a history for every character, you can pay us your shillings so that you don't have to write one.
If you ever become bored with the role-play, you can play games in this board with the other members. The users on the site come up with new games very often, so you'll never have to stick to the same one.
If something comes up and you don't think you'll be back on the site for some time, you'll need to post a thread here telling us. It's extremely important, since we often have activity checks. Activity checks notice the frequent users of the site. Anyone that has not been on lately and has not posted in the absences board will be deleted immediately after the activity check is finished. So yes, this board is extremely important.
Along with the games in the play pin board, this board is for all the members that would prefer talking about random stuff that isn't quite right for the c-box. And we're fine with that! At that, I say that if what you want to talk about something that may contain offensive material, please talk about it here, rather than in the c-box.
